Analyst Jobs description
Analyst jobs in government organizations usually refer to the various positions dealing with economic data. Both the federal and state governments employ thousands of these analysts to go over the vast quantities of data that they gather. It is the job of these analysts to go through it and come up with a clear picture of the economy and other social trends to help the lawmakers enact proper policies for the country.Although the basic requirement for becoming an analyst is an undergraduate degree in economics or a related field, with a strong skill set of math, most of the senior economists and analysts have higher degrees, including doctorates. The starting salary is $36,000 to $42,000 and the pay can go up to $85,000. Working in a government organization has other benefits such as a good health insurance plan and a stable job.
