Writer Editor Jobs description
A writer editor job involves developing concepts and copy for a variety of marketing deliverables including, but not limited to, press releases, media alerts, blows, email, web copy, print advertisements, collateral, signage, booth design, events, retail space and more. A writer editor provides developmental editing for assigned projects including editing for content, tone, consistency and competitiveness. A writer editor works autonomously with multiple partner designers during copy development and page/banner development to assure cohesive visual/textual communication that drives maximum engagement & conversion, handle project management tasks for assigned proposals, coordinating assignments for cross-functional teams made up of internal and external personnel. A writer editor analyzes client source content, target audience demographics, job tasks, and learner environment to identify learning objectives and appropriate instructional strategies. A writer editor writes monthly column of magazine news briefs as well as features assigned by the editor-in-chief & provide a regular feed of written, audio and video news and analysis items for the magazine's web site.A writer editor requires a bachelor's degree in journalism, English, marketing, or related field, along with developmental editing experience. A writer editor should have exceptional communication skills including in writing, editing, and proofreading and strong project management skills. A writer editor must have excellent written and verbal communication, with a solid knowledge of the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
