Paralegal Specialist Jobs description
A paralegal specialist job involves maintaining files, fact-gathering and investigation, assisting with discovery, interviewing, trial preparation, proofreading, etc. A paralegal specialist’s responsibilities include updating case dockets and all other litigation case management folders and performing scanning and conversions of both paper and various electronically formatted documents into the appropriate file format. A paralegal specialist performs all legal work related to collection activities, such as analyzing facts in each case, evaluating approaches and legal issues, researching legal opinions, recommending a legal course of action, drafting legal pleadings and assisting attorneys in preparation for trial. A paralegal specialist provides support to attorneys, under the direction of an attorney, resolves routine legal issues, and works under immediate supervision; typically reports to an attorney conducts responsibilities include filing papers for entities, maintaining database longer than a month.A paralegal specialist requires a bachelor's degree and paralegal certification, excellent communication skills, strong analytical and organizational skills. A paralegal specialist should be able to perform under pressure and manage large volumes of work and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal, direct supervision. A paralegal specialist must be highly motivated, proactive having a strong work ethic and knowledge of legal terminology.
