Top level managers need to have leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, a clear vision for the company and an eye for detail.Executives are rewarded with generous stock options and other financial incentives. Most executives have a bachelor’s degree in management, although nowadays having a MBA is increasing being viewed as a prerequisite.
The higher ranked the college, the greater head start that person is going to receive on his way to getting the well paying executive jobs. The average salary of a general or operations manager in 2008 was $91,000.
