This is an open continuous announcement. Qualified applicants will be referred on an as needed basis, when a position becomes available.

*Must be able to work morning, nights, weekends and holidays.

*Performs lifeguarding duties and limited management functions.

*Ensures the safe operation of the pool, it's filtration system, water balance, pool chemistry and performs water test.

*May provide work guidance to other staff.

*Responsibilities as a swimming pool lifeguard to perform rescue work, promptly render CPR or emergency First Aide and call for medical assistance when necessary.

*Understanding of and the ability to enforce rigid safety regulations to ensure maxium protection of swimmers.

*Lifeguards will participate in any required training (on-the-job training emergency rescue drills, emergency action plan simulations).

*Performs other duties as assigned.

Satisfactory completion of all required background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13 is required, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation is required.


Must possess the following certificates:

- American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Certification).

- American Red Cross Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer (CPR-Pro) certification or nationally recognized equivalent (i.e. Ellis & Associates (CPR) Certification).

When facilities use Automated External Defibrillator AED's and Oxygen Administration O2 bottles the following is required:

- American Red Cross Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates AED certification.

- American Red Cross Oxygen Administration certification or nationally recognized equivalent i.e. Ellis & Associates Oxygen Administration certification.


All Certifications must be uploaded with your application packet. Failure to provide certifications will result in ineligebility rating.
