Salary: $33,394 (Step 01) to $44,768 (Step 10);
NOTE: First time hires to the Federal Government are typically hired at the Step 01.

As an Administrative Operations Assistant within the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Water Science Center, some of your specific duties will include:
Evaluates budgetary and fiscal data for consistency with previous estimates and current levels of program operations.
Assists in the compilation of selected administrative support requirements, information pertaining to needs and cost trends of payroll, travel, supplies, training, and related human resources and materials.
Reviews program data, workload reports, and staffing requests to verify organization program and financial information.
Compiles and consolidates information on the distribution and changes in permanent, full-time, part-time, and temporary employees.
Participates in basic developmental work efforts in support of supply and property management, mail and file services, travel, records and reports, equipment maintenance, vehicle management and related services.
Operates government vehicle as an incidental driver.
Occasional travel - Overnight travel of up to 2 nights per month may be required.

Because this position requires travel for official business, the selectee will be required to apply for a charge card within 30 calendar days of appointment. If you are qualifying based on specialized experience, you must meet the requirements listed below:
One year of specialized experience in or directly related to this position that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-04 level in the Federal service. Example of GS-4 level work: Performs a full range of assignments consisting of related steps, processes or methods; responses differ in nature and sequence; requires knowledge of an organization's programs and operations, rules and processes. Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments; uses judgment in selecting appropriate guidelines and procedures from among a number of specific references.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the position by the closing date of the announcement.
