Duration: 6 months
Location: San Francisco, CA
The National Data Hub (NDH) and NDC (National Data Cloud) Product Management & Customer engagement teams establishes strategy, roadmap, capability and feature prioritization for NDH/NDC based on customer input. They perform the following tasks -:
End-to-end product execution and client management including:
Communications (internal, external, executive)
The team employs cutting edge technologies that are part of the Hadoop and AWS ecosystem, which includes tools used for data integration, data modeling, and data analytics. The unit works with other with various business lines and also partners closely with National IT and IT groups from other districts. The interns will have an opportunity to employ their critical thinking and technical skills across many disciplines.
This position will have the opportunity to develop proof of concept code, data visualizations, documenting and analyzing business requirements, developing marketing collateral, in addition to developing & making presentations.
Develop POC code on common utilities in Big Data On prem and Cloud environments
Assist in technical writing on National Data Hub & National Data Cloud products
Conduct ad hoc research and data support, and prepare datasets, charts and presentations for staff projects
Assist in testing and implementation of business projects
Contribute to initiatives such as mining new data sources, developing data tools, evaluating data visualization software tools, or developing documentation
Assist in documenting business requirements and technical design documents
Develop presentations and slide content
Assist in developing and publishing customer facing content such as blog, communication, news flash
Document business use cases for a big data solution
Develop visualizations using BI tools
Explore data to derive business insight
Be open to cross-training and assignments with other division groups

Ability to balance multiple assignments and shift gears when new priorities arise
Experience in MS Word, Excel, and PPT
Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S. Citizen.
Overall GPA 3.0 or higher
Enrolled at a U.S. university
Preferred Majors: Computer Information Science, Information Systems, Product Management or other related field, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of Product Management
Programming skills in Java, Python, and Scala etc.
Knowledge of SQL and No SQL databases
Knowledge of Cloud technologies
Experience with statistical analysis or econometric modeling; experiencing using statistical software such as SAS or Stata
Understanding of algorithms for Machine learning, NLP etc.
Advanced Excel knowledge and programming;
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Micro Strategy in designing compelling visualizations in the form of dashboard and reports
Experience eliciting and documenting use cases
Familiar with Agile methodologies
