The Physical and Technical Security Analyst will:
Use intelligence tools and databases to support security analyses of proposed diplomatic facilities
Ensure security of US persons, facilities, and information in diplomatic facilities, CONUS and OCONUS
Research both open and classified databases and provide counterintelligence reporting
Perform analysis on terrorist threats to diplomatic facilities
Provide support in functional areas such as technical, physical, and information security, to include reviewing standards and policy to ensure appropriate protections for national security information, based on current technologies, capabilities, and conditions; formulating, evaluating, and developing policy to ensure the protection of national security information.
Conduct research and develop standards and practices addressing physical, technical, and information security issues.
Provide industrial security expertise on specific construction projects of U.S. diplomatic facilities as well as experience in design and installation of electronic security systems access control intrusion detection, outdoor surveillance detection system, and CCTV systems.
Attend/support policy forums relating to physical, technical, and information security.
Assist government partners in developing policies and standards relating to the security of field facilities.
Provide briefings, advice, and guidance to management on issues relating to the security of field facilities.
Clarify assumptions, limitations, interfaces, responsibilities, and specific requirements of the program elements.
Bachelor’s degree. Additional experience may count in lieu of degree
12 years of relevant technical experience.
10 years of intelligence analysis experience
5 years of experience working with or in the USIC (may be concurrent with the requisite 12 years of work experience)
Experience providing construction security support
Familiarity with Department of State diplomatic operations
Knowledge of IC tools and databases
Knowledge and experience with applicable standards, regulations, and policies related to physical security Expertise in specific AOR
Strong written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment
Ability to travel OCONUS and CONUS
