Individual is responsible for developing and positioning GDIT for opportunities greater than $50M which expand GDIT’s presence supporting these DoD components with respect to modeling and simulation, war-gaming, networking/cybersecurity, space, nuclear, training, and operational decision support activities. The position reports to the Vice President of Air Force/Joint Business Development, and as such the individual will provide Business Development support in their area of subject matter expertise across that entire market area as appropriate. In addition, the individual will also work collaboratively with other business development and capture personnel in support of the identification, development and capture of related opportunities in support all DoD components. In addition to the requirements above, the position requires the individual to analyze markets for company products and services and recommend strategies to achieve marketing goals, as well as: 1. Performs business development services including networking and research to increase business. 2. Meets with current and potential clients to ascertain their requirements and apprise them of company capabilities. 3. Identifies and develops opportunities for business expansion. 4. Coordinates and exchanges information and leads with managers and other personnel. 5. Develops and maintains working relationships with similar and/or complementary companies to include teaming and partnership discussions. 6. Researches public domain material to develop leads, contacts, and capture plans. 7. Develops proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials. 8. Develops marketing strategies. 9. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced marketing/business development staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities. 10. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies in order to successfully meet client requirements. 11. Participates in special projects as required.EducationBachelors Degree in Marketing or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work/military experience. Masters Degree(s) in business and/or DoD studies relevant to the positionQualificationsExtensive experience and knowledge of the STRATCOM Joint staff and major initiativesExperience and knowledge working with Combatant Commands to understand evolving needs and requirements and identify strategic solutions Experience interfacing with senior leaders across the DoD, as well as with international partners, to identify, lead and deliver complex IT/networking/cybersecurity, decision support, modeling/simulation, training, space and nuclear solutionsUnderstanding and experience with US Military programs involving decision analytics, modeling and simulation, war-gaming, cyber, space systems and trainingExperience leading cross functional teams in development of solution strategies meeting modeling and simulation, war-gaming, training, and analytic decision making systems objectivesUnderstanding of the network architectures used to support various DoD simulations, war-games, decision support and related activitiesUnderstanding and experience in DoD acquisition processes and Combatant command funding processes (with emphasis on STRATCOM and TRANSCOM)Ability to engage with DoD leadership at all levelsStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to convey complex concepts to multiple stakeholders12-15 years of related marketing and business development experience.
