Summary

Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.

About the Position:

This position is under the supervision of the ILSC, Logistics Integration Directorate Supply Directorate. The referral list generated by this announcement may be used to fill future vacancies in other organizations throughout the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) in Warren, MI, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, MI, and Troy, MI. The ILSC is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Army's investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army's war fighting capability.

TACOM is located in Southeastern Michigan, North of Detroit with nearby universities, world-class museums, art galleries, concert halls, golf courses, and collegiate and professional athletic venues. The solder is truly the focus of everything we do.

Responsibilities

Advises management and system administrators on achieving optimum effective utilization of the Logistical program/ERP systems to standardized automated data processing, and recommending additional areas for utilization of the Logistics program system and processes to facilitate planning control, decision making and increased effectiveness of operations.

Assures accomplishment of assigned projects to include examination of potential problems, development of draft solutions, and recommendations for testing an improving procedures, SAP programs, and/or Logistics program systems as they relate to the mission of the LCMC enterprise.

Reviews and recommends modification or expansion of assigned Logistical program/ERP systems.

Demonstrates system analyst abilities in developing, coordinating and executing major modifications to the Logistical program/ERP systems.

Provides timely, authoritative, sound advice to management on matters related to assigned function(s) and/or Logistical program/ERP systems.

Attends internal/external meetings/conferences for purposes such as fact gathering, implementation of internal/external policy and/or procedures and maintenance of existing ERP programs/systems.

Monitors assigned function(s) and Logistical program/ERP systems to determine the need for training of functional personnel for new, revised, or existing policies and procedures.

Demonstrates functional and transaction knowledge of Logistical program/ERP systems.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which includes: Experience developing or modifying material management programs/systems and/or supply programs/systems. Experience auditing or evaluating automated data processing programs/systems or ERP systems such as LMP to develop improvement procedures and recommendations. Knowledge of computer applications or operations to design cost effective system changes to develop or revise automated systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11 or equivalent.
