KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a full range of IT principles and concepts, system architecture, integration techniques, and testing methods.
Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and access eligibility to classified or sensitive information to review plans and ensure the presence of adequate planning for INFOSEC and other controls.
Knowledge of system software/hardware technology such as servers, SANs, virtual hosts, and clustering.
Knowledge of technical understanding of AF DCGS enterprise and a thorough understanding of AF DCGS systems, networks, and sites that operate under the cognizance of the AF DCGS cybersecurity program.
Knowledge in networking technologies including enterprise class switches, routing protocols, cable infrastructure, and commercial circuitry.
Information Assurance Technician Level 3 certification is a condition of employment.This position includes Information Assurance(IA) work as a paramount duty requirement.Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this duty must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six months requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C184.108.40.206 or C220.127.116.11. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from the position.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
