Include, but are not limited to:

Serves as a full Deputy to the Director, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) for a large/mega large garrison by performing a variety of duties in the short and long range planning, coordination, and daily oversight of all matters pertaining to the Directorate. Integrates plans into appropriated and non appropriated fund annual operating budgets. Reviews program changes and discusses changes in goals and objectives with activity managers and supervisors, ensuring objectives and goals are attainable and economically feasible. Evaluates goal achievement and program execution. Represents the Director in all matters including the coordination of programs and activities within and outside the directorate. Keeps the Director fully informed of overall accomplishments, deficiencies, and status of on-going programs and special projects assigned. Responsible for assuming the duties of the director in his/her absence.

Provides technical guidance and administrative oversight through direct and indirect supervision of subordinate supervisors and employees. Exercises the full range of personnel management responsibilities. Promotes acceptance and adherence to special emphasis programs such as Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO).

May perform other duties as assigned.

Managerial work experience and executive knowledge and ability of the caliber described above.

Highly Preferred candidates will possess the following:

A minimum of three (3) years experience in two (2) or more Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation DOD divisions as a Division Chief.
