The Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco is looking for a Lead

Information Security Analyst – Security Operations to join our Information

Security Operations Team.  The Federal

In this role, you will be responsible for leading security

incident response activities, root cause analysis (RCAs) deep dives,

vulnerability management reviews, and security reporting activities. You will

collaborate with our extended team of security professionals to develop

technical solutions and process enhancements to improve the District's security

posture.  In this role you will partner

with business areas and service providers, foster strong working relationships,

help lead and support IS strategies for the 12th District and for

the Federal Reserve System (FRS), and coach and guide staff to provide

excellent end-to-end customer support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

This position includes Information Security and CyberSecurity

Operations. 

Work as a lead member of the security operations

team to handle incident response related activities including investigations,

issue tracking, forensics, and problem resolutionHandle all aspects of Vulnerability Management

(VM), Vulnerability Scanning / Testing, configuration hardening and security

patch verification, and Application Security oversightWork to identify solutions and mitigation

options to reduce risk and exposureInteract with stakeholders across the 12th

District and the Federal Reserve System to effectively shape and drive security

strategy and capabilities including participation in strategic initiatives and

workgroupsLead the design and development of information

security operational reports and scorecardsResponsible for the planning, development and

delivery of security initiatives that improve incident command and control,

coordination and communicationsIdentify and implement processes and tools to

achieve business objectives of reduced risk and better outcomes while complying

with applicable security policies and standardsProvide security education, training, and

awareness briefings across IT, business units, and external service providersResearch and stay up-to-date on the industry's

best practices, security trends and advancements in technology, application

development practices, networking protocols, infrastructure designs, and cloud

security

Qualifications:

Must

be able to participate in on-call rotation and support during off-shift

hoursMust

be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a U.S.

Citizen Must

have 7 years of experience in information securityMust

have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldMust

have CISSP or similar industry certificationMust

have strong Knowledge of information technologies and information security

topics Must

have experience in network and computer forensics for various operating

systems including Windows, UNIX/LINUX, Mac and mobile devices in an enterprise

environmentMust

have experience in application security as part of a secure software

development life cycleMust

have programming using Perl, Python, PowerShell, Java, or JavaScript Must

have experience with vulnerability management and scanning tools such as

IBM AppScan, TripWire IP360, Qualys, Nessus, JIRA and Archer preferredSelf-motivated

and able to carry out assignments with minimal supervision, personal

responsibility and autonomyProficient

writing and verbal communication skills, including the ability to

communicate in an articulate, concise manner to a wide range of audiences

from Bank users to executives Demonstrate

effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability

to work effectively in a team environment; motivate and work with others

to accomplish tasks in an honest and direct mannerAbility

to engage technical teams, business owners and management at all levels of

the organization to successfully deliver on business and technical

transformationStrong

critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills are requiredStrong

application skills including MS Office Suite, MS Visio, MS Project and MS

SharePoint Working

knowledge of National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-53 controls

, ISO 27000, or COBIT 5 Note: This

position requires certification in SAFR (NIST 800-53) within 3 months of

hire.
