Duties: As a Property Disposal Technician (OA), you will be responsible for the following duties:

Maintains control of accountability records on excess and surplus property received for disposal action.

Processes property disposal and accounting transactions using automated systems.

Serves as primary visitor control point of contact to screen all vehicles and personnel entering the facilities.

Coordinated the issue and delivery of Reutilization/Transfer/Donations (RTD) and sales property.

Composes and types a variety of documents, reports, and other material related to property disposal activities.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Property

Disposal Technician (OA), your qualifications must include:

A. Specialized Experience: To

qualify at the GS-05 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized

experience equivalent to the GS-04 level. Specialized experience is experience

that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform

successfully the duties

of the position, and that is

typically in or related to the position to be filled. Examples of creditable

specialized experience include:

Researches and reconciles discrepancies between records and accounts,

and initiates adjustments.

Maintains records and correct errors

involving property information; support customer inquiries and actions including property availability.

Prepares, maintains, and reviews for accuracy all property inventory listings.

B.

Education: To qualify at the GS-05 level based on education, in lieu of

specialized experience, applicants must possess 4 years of education above high

school. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Education

must be from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the U.S.

If using education to meet basic qualifications, YOU MUST SUBMIT A

TRANSCRIPT as supplemental documentation.

C. Proficiency: Applicant must

be a qualified typist of at least 40 WPM.

D.

Combination: For GS-5 level positions (except Clerk-Stenographer, which

does not require specialized experience), only education in excess of the first 60 semester

hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable

toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year

of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months

of specialized experience.

qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency

(knowledge, skills and abilities) in the following areas:

Knowledge of property disposal regulations, policies, and procedures

Skill in visitor control

Ability to communicate orally and in writing

DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE: The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has established a

Drug-Free Federal Workplace Policy. All applicants tentatively selected for DLA

employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen
