Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is Worldwide. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

This position is located at the Morale, Welfare, Recreation - Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall

This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Regular Part-Time position that includes NAF Benefits, with 20 guaranteed work hours per administrative week. The incumbent will provide technical support to all activities within the MWR program, as well as assist in the trouble shooting of local area networks and stand-alone workstations. The incumbent must be available to work between the hours of 7:30 am -4:30 pm Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

Installs, swaps and repairs internal components, modems and other hardware in varying types of personal computers.

Configures computers and installs software.

Instructs personnel in the use of hardware and software by conducting formal group training, providing individual instruction and writing appropriate documentation which can be used for customer desk reference.

Troubleshoots personal computer systems to detect problems, and corrects problems with hardware and/or software.

Qualifications

1. Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.

2. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with all levels of equipment users.

High Preferred:

Possess the ability to perform system upgrades as well as PXE imaging and are familiar with RecTrac/CYMS databases or other related databases. (Note to Applicant: The experience must be clearly identified in your resume/application.)
