National IT is seeking candidates for its Summer Intern program. This program provides an opportunity to collaborate with a talented and dedicated team of information technology and support professionals.Job Summary:The Solutions Engineering Build Engineering team has a need for intern to assist with process improvement, automation, and SharePoint development efforts. Will work independently on projects with frequent follow up and check-ins from supervisor and colleagues. The intern will work under direct supervision and learn key aspects of the daily operations of the team. Once trained, daily duties may include assessing the applicability of newly identified vulnerabilities or non-compliance, and identifying the appropriate party for remediation. Duties may also include working on specific projects/initiatives that part of the team high priority objectives for the year. Other duties may entail creating/updating procedure level documentation, participating in team meetings, and written and verbal communications across various areas of the Federal Reserve. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities:• Under direct supervision, assists with on-going efforts/daily tasks on the Solutions Engineering Build Engineering team.• Help update or create new procedure level documentation for any of the daily tasks. • Under direct supervision, play a role in helping the team complete current high priority objectives or other improvement projects. • Performs other incidental duties as required.','!*!Position Requirements:Education/Experience:Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or other related field. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is strongly desired.Knowledge: General knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in information services management. General knowledge of business skills and operating proficiency in MS Office products. Communications: Strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail are required. Acts as a team player, is cooperative and encourages collaboration. Risk Management: [The individual] is responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making, and contributing to his or her function’s risk management.Decision Making: Works under direction with infrequent checks; follows established methods and clear-cut policy. Makes decisions when general instructions or established methods indicate action to be taken.Skills required:Proven scholastic achievement and leadership, demonstrated desire to take on more challenging roles, real-world experience with Microsoft products such as Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc. Strong technical background is preferred.Desire and ability to learn the business of Solutions Engineering. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (with a focus on Excel) and with SharePoint. Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently will be critical for success. Development background is a strong plus for Excel development work.Strong ability to understand and translate key aspects of risk, prioritize and make timely decisions, and to be self-disciplined and take accountability for actions/deadlines. Entry skill level in areas of analysis, organization, project management, and innovation. Entry level oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of NIT/System management, technical staff, customers, and our team no matter their location. Take direction and be open to feedback. Respond to change in a positive manner. *Other/Additional Requirements:This position works under close supervision and guidance in planning details of established procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. It has responsibility for planning and performance with guidance or assistance on professional aspects of work. Subject matter handled can be sensitive and requires use of discretion. Has frequent contact with assigned mentor to discuss assignments/project and to determine resources and report status. Has frequent contacts with other Reserve System staff/management during project related work and group meetings. Contacts require use of persuasion, effective responsiveness, professional presentation, diplomacy and tact. Follows established methods and clear-cut policy with supervision. Most work can be performed while seated.
