Description As a key member of the\u00a0Air Force and International\u00a0Business Area leadership team, the Senior Material Program Manager (MPM) is responsible for the management of all associated material for the business area. The Senior MPM may be responsible for one or more programs with a material component. The Senior MPM will collaborate with other program managers within the business unit that have a material component and provide expert and effective liaison with the corporate supply organization to support all program supply support requirements as required. A primary focus is delivering all requirements on-time and under budget. The Senior MPM is both strategic and tactical in the execution of his\/her duties, and works across several functions to achieve success for the business area. The Senior MPM must effectively and efficiently utilize his\/her extensive Supply Chain, Program Management, and financial expertise to identify potential issues, orchestrate both tactical and strategic solutions to the situation, and drive solutions through completion. The Senior MPM is responsible for developing, tracking, and meeting or exceeding the business area\u2019s Material Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The Senior MPM is responsible for hiring, developing, and managing a staff of Material Program Managers that support proposal efforts by identifying and building strategies for key components, subcontractors, GFE, and long lead items. Upon contract award, the Material Program Manager will work with the customer, Contracts, Program Controls, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure that all material requirements are being executed efficiently. The Material Program Manager is responsible for the program\u2019s material budget and meeting financial obligations. Requirements: The successful candidate will possess specific skill sets in both Program and Material Management, including: \u2022Efficient communicator that is able to work effectively across all functions and levels of management \u2022Extensive knowledge and experience with all aspects of the Supply Chain \u2022Experience in demand management and expediting \u2022Experience in the SAP 6.0 MRP operating system \u2022Dedicated professional able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure in a fast paced environment \u2022Financial aptitude and knowledge of program constraints and requirements \u2022Knowledge of FAR\/DFARS \u2022Must have familiarity with TO's, service manuals, and related publications. \u2022Experience in MS Excel and PowerPoint \u2022Must have demonstrated measurable success in leading a team \u2022Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards. \u2022Other projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: \u2022Business or Technical Bachelor degree \u00a08 years professional experience in any of the following: materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, subcontract management, finance, or program management. \u2022With Associate's degree, must have 12 years professional experience in any of the following: materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, subcontract management, finance, or program management. \u2022With High School Diploma, must have 16 years professional experience in any combination of the following: materials planning, scheduling, purchasing, subcontract management, finance, supply chain, or program management. \u2022The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET clearance. \u2022Must be able to travel as required. \u2022Must be able to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as required.
