This position is located in the Community Recreation Division within IMCOM G9. This position is limited tenure, not to exceed three (3) years.

Responsibilities

At the headquarters level, performs independent duties in the development of strategic initiatives for national and community-level collaborative agreements between private business, schools, organizations, and IMCOM and its Garrisons. Establishes a centralized framework for Garrisons to leverage agreements with outside organizations in support of Healthy Army Communities for Soldiers and families, and enhanced mission readiness. Guides coordination between stakeholders such as installation, DECA, AAFES, ACOM's, DRU's, and local community leaders with an analytical, methodical approach for achieving mutual understanding and areas of shared value. Manages offers of support from organizations that are aligned with IMCOM priorities. Evaluates requests and coordinates with Staff Judge Advocate to determine legal or regulatory limitations or refers to appropriate authority for further action/coordination in support of Healthy Army Communities. Drafts memoranda of understanding, contract specifications, or required documents for approved agreements and obtains legal review.

Develops strategic communications plan and coordinates with Public Affairs to promote positive outcomes in the media. Participates in conferences, symposiums, and other forum efforts promoting partnership initiatives

Provides garrisons with resources for Healthy Army Communities through partnership education, training, and tool kits to develop mutually beneficial initiatives.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include experience performing duties equivalent in scope and complexity to the next lower grade level.

Specialized experience must be directly-related to include at least one year performing duties at the next lower grade level as follows:

Experience which demonstrates a broad knowledge of military Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Programs. Must have a vast knowledge of MWR program organizational structure, funding sources (NAF/APF), and operational capabilities.

Experience demonstrating the ability to coordinate partnering opportunities across garrison footprints so they are aligned with the Army's goal for healthy Army Communities supporting readiness. Must have knowledge of legal boundaries related to the commitment of government resources.

Experience demonstrating strong business acumen to include effective decision-making and coordination of resources within a large, multifaceted organization.

Experience analyzing proposals and providing expert advice to senior leaders.
