is seeking a THAAD Instructor/Course Developer of computer-based training products for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program in support of the THAAD Institutional Training Base at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. The successful candidate will provide continual creation, review and revision of training products including: Lesson Plans, POI's, Multimedia Presentations, and Test Bed databases for the customer. The Instructor/Course Developer of computer-based training products for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) 14H Course in accordance with Task and Skills Analysis curriculum development regulations; Teach THAAD System/Sub System and component overview and all aspects of THAAD functional operations. Teach March Order and Emplacement procedures. Teach Power Up and Power Down procedures. Teach and conduct 10 level maintenance to include PMCS, fault detection and isolation, troubleshooting, and remove & replace procedures. Understand THAAD link architecture, networking, and THAAD system configuration. The candidate should have operational knowledge of AN/PYQ-10 (SKL), In-line Network Encryption devices (KG-175D), SINCGARS, MIDS and AN/PSC-5D Radio Systems, CDLIM/CUI, VoIP, Link-16 Architecture. Conduct Course Material Development and Validation as directed. Schedule training activities and coordinate facilities usage with government representatives. The selected candidate will be expected to instruct additional subjects not associated with the 14H POI as needed. The selected candidate will be required to transport and maintain tactical equipment. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The successful candidate may be required to work overtime and non-standard shifts as necessary.
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of prior relevant experience. Military experience can substituted for a degree. Candidate shall have at a minimum, four years’ experience in the specific MOS 14H/J and one year of THAAD background experience. 14E candidates with at least 10 years of service will be considered for the position based on experience with the systems listed in the job description. Candidates without a military background will be considered based on knowledge and experience working in the areas listed in the job description. All THAAD experience shall be within the last five years. The selected candidate must possess a valid state Driver’s License and be able to obtain both a commercial driver license (CDL) and a military driver's license.
THAAD specific training examples:
14H THAAD LCS Operator/System Integrator Course; -THAAD TFCC NET, RADAR NET, BSC NET, THAAD System Administrator training certificates. Extensive knowledge and experience working with all MS Office software. Excellent communication skills and experience working with US Army military and government personnel at all levels. Requires Secret level clearance
ABIC/CFDP-IC Certified; SATBC Certified; ASE-SI Certified; SCTC Certified; Class A CDL; JT 101/102; Certified Air Defense Artillery Instructor within the past 5 years. Air and Missile Defense Experience in Integration and Engagement Operations. Experience and Knowledge of US Army Air and Missile Defense operations. Experience in a joint AMD operational environment. Ability to quickly master new technical and training applications.
