Responsibilities

The individual selected for this position will:

Manage and monitor cost, schedule, and quality for economic, demographic, and decennial projects as it relates to data capture.

Plan and carry out major workflow improvements for numerous data capture projects.

Plan, coordinate, and implement technical improvements or updates to a data capture process for programs, surveys, or censuses leading to data capture efficiencies.

Communicate project management objectives, plans, risks, issues, and status to participants, stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Provide oversight, evaluate performance, direct staff training, and assign work to team members.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-09

, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07

in the Federal service. Specialized Experience

for this position includes

: having coordinating, testing, and implementing data capture processes for a variety of survey programs; preparing, developing and processing surveys for paper data capture using integrated Computer Assisted Data Entry (iCADE) or similar systems and electronic data capture using Centurion or similar systems; developing, implementing, and maintaining the iCADE system or similar systems; troubleshooting and resovling processing issues; and leading a variety of projects designed to increase efficiency and promote innovation.

OR

Education:

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education.

OR

A combination of both experience and education.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
