As a Deputy Executive Director, Logistics Policy and Strategic Programs you will be responsible for the following duties:

Serves as the Deputy Executive Director, Logistics Policy and Strategic Programs and provides oversight for Material Policy, Process and Assessment, Strategic Programs & Initiatives..

Provides leadership in integrating and synchronizing the key business and supply chain management functions.

Ensures availability of consistent Agency capabilities; oversees the Agency's operations research analysts; manages the Agency's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align capabilities across all demand and supply chains.

Ensures optimal use of operations and material obligation authority to improve customer support, at lower cost.

Serves with the J34 Director as the Agency's voice of the business, as the Director applies capabilities against identified and validated customer requirements.

Responsible for all related directorate transformation initiatives and interface with associated Agency transformation programs.

Travel Required

Specialized Experience:Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.To qualify at the GS-15 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level.Examples of specialized experience are identified in the Major Duties section of this vacancy announcement and may also include:

Exercises oversight and management of the Enterprise-wide internal processes required to deliver value-added logistics solutions to the warfighters.

Stabilizes and improves order fulfillment, disposition, inventory management, planning, cataloging and tech/quality processes across the enterprise for all demand and supply chains.

Charged with reducing lead-times, reducing blocked purchase requisitions, reducing unfilled orders, and improving customer support fill/rates.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.


Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
