Roles and Responsibilities:
A senior-level lead engineer responsible for leading MDA Exchange team in supporting installation, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and support of hardware, software, and associated tools in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory (AD) Exchange environment. Duties include resolving hardware/software issues, security vulnerabilities, and end-user reported issues in relation to Microsoft Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise Server, Barracuda SPAM devices, and Good Technologies mobile solutions on Classified and Unclassified Message systems. The Network Communications Manager is responsible for leading troubleshooting efforts and guiding Messaging personnel while they solve service issues and fulfill new messaging requirements. The Network Communications Manager is responsible for the creation and maintenance of messaging-related standard operating procedures and policies and coordination of efforts with other work center Leads such as Server Management, Storage Management, Integrated Service Desk, and Client Support Administration to resolve Incident Requests and implement Engineering Changes. Position requires supporting and communicating with VIP customers including briefings and metrics reports. Primary duty hours 0700-1700, Monday - Friday, but must be able to work 2nd shift and weekend hours as necessary. Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
* Master's degree in an IT related discipline and at least 10 years of experience with Messaging systems (years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)* Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, Barracuda SPAM firewalls, messaging technologies and their interaction with Windows Active Directory
* Experience with Windows PowerShell and other administrative scripting platforms
* CompTIA Security certification required to satisfy DoD 8570 requirements or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
* Experience using Remedy software
* UNIX and POSTFIX administrative experience
* Position prefers a candidate with a current Secret Clearance
