Description A Field Service Technician I (FST) is responsible for installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on products serviced by Alber commensurate with appropriate certification.The FST is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. Must be capable of working independently with little general supervision. PLEASE NOTE : Heavy overnight travel is required, minimum of 50% and up to 75%, including weekends if necessar y Responsibilities Performs the necessary technical services at customer sites for installation,and\/or commissioning of products Performs scheduled or emergency service on products at customer sites Trouble shoot and repair as possible equipment on customer sites Render on site and phone technical assistance to customers Strive to provide all customers a \u201cfirst time fix\u201d for their equipment Communicate with Technical Service & Support team on equipment issues Perform work related tasks according to company guidelines Implement Field Service Bulletins according to published guidelines Keep current on Bulletins, Change Notices, Service Tickets Capable of providing on-site training of products and software Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines Time sheets, expense reports, mileage reports, Field Service Reports, Service Tickets, et al. Maintain individual inventory in accordance with company policy Maintain company property according to company policies Credit cards, PPE, test equipment, laptop, phone, et al. Operate in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines Must wear appropriate PPE as per company guidelines and accordance with job duties Adhere to work hours policy guidelines \u2013 \u201c14 hours rule\u201d Report all work related accidents or injuries within 24 hours to the appropriate personnel Additional Information Perform a variety of work related tasks Properly evaluate site and equipment for appropriate billing status Maintain proper and adequate level of internal communications with Managers, co-workers, Support Services, electronic communications, et al.
