This position is located in the Media Services Division, Office of General Services Management, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Operations, Bureau of Administration (A/OPR/GSM/MS), in the U.S. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. The position serves as a full performance Audiovisual Production Specialist in producing, directing, shooting, editing and writing a variety of video productions and performing related functions and activities involving different phases of MS productions and broadcasts. The employee plans for, sets up, operates, maintains and evaluates a wide range of visual, video, audio, electronic and other technical operations for the White House, DOS, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Congress and other Federal agencies, and plans and manages technical operations for the organization in various indoor, outdoor and remote locations throughout the world.
This position is eligible for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).
Advises clients concerning artistic, photographic and instructional aspects of video projects, and gathers necessary information and images dealing with potential graphics and other relevant elements of a project.
Researches and gathers information, resources and materials necessary for the scriptwriting process. Writes, rewrites and edits script materials for broadcasts.
Analyzes, selects and develops information in appropriate video/TV format in presenting information that is clear, concise and meaningful to target audiences that support U.S. foreign policy and Department policies, procedures and regulations.
Develops production budgets that detail requirements for travel, materials, talent, duplication, overtime and related project expenses. Plans and organizes the work of writers, editors, actors, narrators, musicians, designers and lighting and audio technicians for the video productions Organizes and provides necessary information to production crew, conducts casting calls to secure appropriate professional talent and prepares nonprofessional talent for roles in assigned projects.
