The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System (VALLHCS)
is actively recruiting to fill two BE/BC Staff Gastroenterologist
positions to provide compassionate care to our Veterans at out state-of the-art GI/Liver Endoscopy care facilities, with excellent interventional radiology support, outstanding clinical research and informatics. Selected candidate will join a team providing compassionate healthcare to our veterans with a wide range of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.
ERCP/EUS is a plus but not required. We are looking for gastroenterologists who are interested in non-pancreatobiliary advanced endoscopy, small bowel endoscopy, general gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel diseases. Successful candidates will participate in providing consultative and endoscopic services in the inpatient and outpatient setting. In addition, the applicant will be involved in the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students.
The applicant will be expected to work in developing a faculty practice base with the other gastroenterologists and serve as both clinic and service attending. There are multiple opportunities for clinical investigation and there is excellent support in for clinical investigation. The appropriate candidate is a personable individual who can work independently within the framework of a large group and who has strong clinical, endoscopic and interpersonal skills.
: Regular work schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Board Eligible / Board Certified in Gastroenterology with excellent clinical and endoscopic skills
The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System
is part of the Desert Pacific Healthcare Network. The Healthcare System is comprised of the Jerry L. Pettis Memorial VA Medical Center and six community clinics located in Blythe, Corona, Palm Desert, Rancho Cucamonga, Murrieta and Victorville. Opened in 1977, the Medical Center is named in memory of Congressman Jerry L. Pettis, who worked diligently to locate the facility in Loma Linda.
It is one of the top 25 employers in the Inland Empire; with over 2,460 employees and 1,367 volunteers that serve over 76,000 Veterans who entrust their health care needs to the VA. The Medical Center provides a wide variety of services through inpatient, outpatient and home care programs. The major bed services are Medicine, Surgery and Behavioral Medicine. The facility has 162 acute care beds and a 108 bed Community Living Center.
Postgraduate medical and dental education programs are conducted with the Loma Linda University. In addition, the Medical Center is also affiliated with 77 other educational institutions and provides training for a variety of allied health specialists.
Loma Linda is located one hour to the west of Los Angeles and one hour east of Palm Springs. Loma Linda has natural beauty and the San Bernardino mountains can be seen from the campus. VALLHCS is a Joint Commission accredited, Referral Level 1b/High Complexity, facility serving Veterans in San Bernardino, Riverside and Inyo Counties (Inland Empire), over 35,000 square miles. The Medical Center is located on 34 acres, and
is approximately 0.7 miles from Loma Linda School of Medicine, its affiliate, and Loma Linda University Medical Center.
