Summary
You will serve as a LABORER in the Water Resources Division, Water/Wastewater O&M ranch (Wastewaster Section) of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Responsibilities
You will furnish and use basic hand tools as well as drills, impact wrenches, portable pumps and other power tools necessary to do the job.
You will clean up water/wastewater work sites after projects have been completed.
You will understand and apply written instructions to complete assigned duties.
You will utilize safety regulations for storage to prevent tipping, crushing, or other damage.
You will clean and store tools and equipment after usage to prevent damage or loss.

The work requires moderate to heavy physical exertion, which includes carrying ladders, hoses, and other equipment up and downstairs. The work involves projects; water/wastewater lifting and carrying of items weighing from 90 lbs. Work requires pushing, pulling, bending, climbing; crawling, crouching and stooping for extended periods. The work pace ranges from moderate to arduous. Vision should be normal with or without corrective devices.
The employee is subject to cuts, abrasions, bruises, burns and other injuries due to the nature of the work environment and tools, machinery and equipment. Work is both indoors and outdoors throughout the base, and may include mechanical rooms, attics, etc., with exposure to dirt, dust, soot, noises, odors, poor lighting, extreme heat and damp, and cramped areas. Protective equipment such as safety glasses, goggles, gloves, and safety shoes, etc. are furnished. Safety shoes are required. The employee furnishes own foul weather gear.
