Under direct supervision assists in the technical design, development, implementation, and support of the organizations computing environment. Participates in server-related projects as required. Or provides focus and direction on one or more moderately complex customer projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and within budgeted expenses allocated. Role may represents a cross section of functional and support areas.
Under direct supervision, provide ongoing support for software applications.
Assists in the installation, upgrade, testing, and maintenance of software and hardware in a multiple server and multiple network operating system environments spanning multiple computer sites.
Follows detailed work plans for both installation and continuing maintenance.
Conducts tests and monitors new installations.
Assists with server software monitoring and tuning on a regular basis using applicable monitoring tools.
Assists with producing statistics on performance and is responsible for identifying and resolving system performance problems.
Assists with problem resolution for application software as needed.
Assists with research and testing to determine cause and makes necessary corrections.
Perform installation of software or security patches across the server environment while adhering to change control policies.
Performs other incidental duties as required.
Entry level experience in at least one of the following it disciplines e.g. database management systems administration, network administration, systems integration, software development, IT service management, data analytics, IT hardware configuration or web technologies.
Working Knowledge of computing hardware, software and Windows Operating Systems for business support assignments understanding of project analytics and foundation of disciplines in assigned functional area.
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software.
Desire and ability to learn the business of IT (overall view of IT), and Project Management.
Strong ability to solve problems by considering available information, prioritizing and making timely decisions; and to draws logical conclusions.
Entry skill level in areas of analysis, statistics, organization, project management, innovation, and creativity.
Entry level oral and written communication skills to gather and translate system requirements, interpret and illustrate data, present reports, and interact with all levels of System management, technical staff, and vendors.
Respond to change in a positive manner.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering strongly desired.
