The PALACE Acquire Program offers you a permanent position upon completion of your formal training plan. As a PALACE Acquire Intern you will experience both personal and professional growth while dealing effectively and ethically with change, complexity, and problem solving. AFTER PROGRAM COMPLETION:
You will be outplaced from the PAQ program after successful completion of your formal training program. Outplacement may be to a position in the local community area where you received your PAQ training or to an Air Force Installation in another geographic location within the Continental USA.
Performs a variety of continuing inventory management duties requiring analytical, judgment, procedural and technical skills
Knowledge of policies, precedents, methods and techniques used in inventory management to support major programs or functions and of laws and regulations that impact inventory management
Develops designated portions of inventory management support projects or analytical and evaluative studies; provides routine technical advisory services, and participates in representing the organization in matters relating to assigned inventory management work
Knowledge of established methods and techniques used in analytical and evaluative studies of inventory management programs and operations
Uses automated information technology (IT) capabilities, such as databases, systems and computer-generated products, to perform continuing routine inventory management duties
Knowledge of inventory Information Technology (IT) capabilities and requirements

How You Will Be Evaluated

Master's or higher and seeking a degree in human resources, personnel management or related area
B. Highly Qualified:
Bachelor's degree with overall GPA 2.95 or higher
Associate's degree AND one year (12 months) specialized work experience in providing support for Human Resources (HR) specialists involved in using HR information systems; in delivering HR services to military personnel; and in classification, recruitment and placement, employee benefits, human resource development, performance management, and employee and labor management relations. Process and document HR actions for a wide variety of employee categories that involve different forms, different authorities, different action codes, and different regulatory authorities, or additional pay systems. Obtain missing data from HR files or the appropriate office; assist employees in preparing paperwork related to HR actions; review finished forms for completeness and adequacy; contact individual employees or supervisors by telephone to resolve questions before processing final actions; provide information on HR systems, processes and procedures; and/or provide brochures, applications and other HR documents to employees. This experience MUST be equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in Federal service, which could have been obtained in the private or public sectors.

ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS:
The VOW Act Chapter 21 of Title 5, United States Code (U.S.C.), Section 2108a, requires Federal agencies treat active duty service member as veterans, disabled veterans, and preference eligible, when they submit, at the time they apply for a Federal job, a certification of active service in lieu of a DD-214, assuming the service member is otherwise eligible. A certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. The service member's military service dates are necessary in order to determine whether he or she meets the definition of veteran under 5 U.S.C. 2108(1). The certification must reflect the service member is expected to be discharged or released from active duty service in the armed forces under honorable conditions not later than 120 days after the date of submission . The certification must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin (if applicable), your rank, dates of active duty service, the type of discharge and character of service (i.e. honorable).
