This Human Resources Specialist position is located in the Work Life Division, within the Office of Human Capital (OHC)/Workforce Programs Directorate, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). If selected for this position, you will serve as Human Resource (HR) Specialist providing consultation and advisory services to managers and employees in order to execute the agency-wide reasonable accommodation process. You will be conferring and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that reasonable accommodations are provided to employees or applicants with disabilities in a timely and accurate manner, addressing inquiries, issues, and concerns as they occur. Typical assignments include but are not limited to:
Effectively managing and processing TSA Reasonable Accommodations (RA) Program cases assisting involved parties through the process and resolution of the request.
Facilitating the obtaining and reviewing of medical information related to reasonable accommodation requests. Maintaining case information and various reporting data within an integrated database system; extracting information for a variety of recurring reports.
