Summary Applications are now being accepted for a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) for the Critical Care-Telemetry unit of VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), Dallas Campus. The candidate must possess a full, active, and unrestricted license as a professional RN from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Should have a minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or ICU experience. A Masters of Science in Nursing with a Clinical Nurse Leader major, and full and current board certification as a Clinical Nurse Leader from a VA approved certifying body is required. The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) functions within both the micro and macro system to assume accountability for healthcare outcomes for a specific group of clients through the assimilation and application of research-based information, to design, implement, and evaluate client plans of care. The CNL is a provider and a manager of care at the points of care to individuals and cohorts. The CNL designs, implements, and evaluates client care by coordinating, and supervising the care provided by the interdisciplinary healthcare team. As a change agent, the CNL promotes an environment that embraces new knowledge, innovations and improvements.
