Responsibilities As a HR Assistant for the Branch of Employee Benefits, you will perform duties such as: Process a variety of benefits actions in the Federal Personnel and Payroll System (FPPS), utilizing the Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), and other reference material to ensure all work is done accurately.Process benefits documents for Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB), Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), Long Term Care (LTC), and beneficiary information in an automated personnel system.Assist Human Resources Specialists with processing deposits, re-deposits, and military deposits in the retirement calculator and process supporting documentation.Process benefits for non-pay actions for career seasonal employees leaving federal service.Provide customer service to current employees of the organization.Conduct analysis of existing processes and procedures and recommend changes as appropriate. Travel Required Occasional travel - There may be some occasional travel associated with this position.
