Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is the local commuting area. Commuting area is defined as US Citizens and Non-Citizens that live within a 50-miles radius of Ft. Rucker to include, Coffee, Dale, Houston counties (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

This position is located at the Fort Rucker Physical Fitness Facilities.

Responsibilities

Serves as shift supervisor exercising supervisory responsibility over custodial employees and work in the assigned area of operation.

Oversees the cleaning of rooms, corridors, stairways, and common areas.

Oversees the availability, use and storage of housekeeping supplies and equipment.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

A one year probationary period may be required

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

Attend Team Member Orientation within the first 30 days of employment

Must be available to work days, evenings, and possible weekends

Qualifications

1. Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise.

2. Must be able to follow simple oral instructions.

3. Must be able to use hand or light weight powered cleaning tools and equipment.

4. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 pounds.
