Summary

This position is located in the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). You will be responsible for providing broad administrative, professional, and technical knowledge refining and executing the agency enterprise wide Cloud Center including multiple cloud technologies. The incumbent will optimize workflow, manage project prioritization related to development, work collaboratively with agency stakeholders, and perform a variety of consultation on forward planning, evaluative and advisory decisions to develop an enterprise wide Customer Relationship Management technology strategy.

Provide thorough, in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis, consultation and evaluation concerning the effectiveness of programs relating to advanced technologies which includes but not limited to application and enterprise platform development, Application Program Interfaces, cloud technologies, platforms, and tools in meeting established goals, measures, and objectives.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that is in or related to the position to be filled that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

For the GS-15: Specialized experience for the GS-15 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14). Specialized experience includes: performing strategic planning, providing technical expertise on projects impacting the organization and the Center for Innovation that involve strategic integration with both internal and external stakeholders, providing expertise of advanced cloud technologies, platforms, tools, in order to determine when the best option for satisfying a business requirement, providing guidance, and advice for re-imagining how the agency approaches application and enterprise platform development.

This position includes a skill, knowledge, ability or other worker characteristic basic to-and essential for-satisfactory performance of the job. A Selective Placement Factor is a prerequisite to appointment and represents a minimum requirement for a position. Application materials must demonstrate the selective placement factor. The Selective Placement Factor for this position is: possess extensive experience as a Senior Advisor in providing advice and leading in the development refining and executing projects using cloud technologies. Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary, although some slight physical effort may be required. Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office. May require occasional travel.

Telework: VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
