The ideal candidate possesses experience in food and beverage preparation and customer service skills. Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.

In this position, you will provide basic food and beverage preparation and service.
Typical assignments include:
Serving food and drinks using current portioning guidelines.
Providing food using all common simple food prep methods.
Ensuring proper temperatures are maintained on all ready-to-serve hot and cold foods, adhering to all appropriate food safety practices, rules and guidelines.
Following established Standard Operating Procedures according to established recipes, including maintaining time and temperature logs for their assigned areas.
Ensuring proper storage of food and supplies.
Performing all industry standard and work unit approved cleaning and sanitizing.
Occasional travel - This position may require non-emergency travel (5%)
