DoDEA is a major Department of Defense (DoD) Field Activity with worldwide scope. DoDEA plans, directs, coordinates, and manages the education programs for DoD dependents. DoDEA consists of three regions, DoDEA Americas, DoDEA Europe, and DoDEA Pacific and a total of eight school districts located overseas and in the U.S. and its territories. DoDEA provides education to eligible DoD military and civilian dependents from prekindergarten through grade 12.

WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: This announcement is open to: Current Permanent Department of Defense Civilian Employees Only.

This position may be filled at either GS-11 or GS-12 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. If selected at the lower grade level, incumbent may be non-competitively promoted to the next grade level in the time frame allowed by regulations and upon management's request. Promotion is contingent upon satisfactory completion of required training, regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the duties. Promotion is not guaranteed or implied.

Responsibilities

As a Program Analyst you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Directs the administrative operations of the office and provides support to the Principal Deputy Director.

• Provides training, advice and assistance on all administrative matters concerning the Education Directorate.

• Serves as the administrator and primary manager for web-based suspense tracking system.

• Responsible for Directorate telephone calls, messages and guests/visitors.

• Works closely with other headquarters staff and is the point of contact for scheduling and coordinating meetings, visits, and itineraries.

• Serves as the travel administrator for the Principal Deputy Director and coordinates executive level travel, VIPs, major events, social activities, and speeches.

• Reconciles accountable and durable property documents reflecting increases, decreases, transfers, and excesses.

• Serves as division primary point of contact and expert on high priority suspense correspondence generated by White House, Congress, and Secretariat-level offices.

You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service if you are applying for the GS-11, or one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 if applying for the GS-12,(experience may have been gained in the private sector or military) giving the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. RELEVANT SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE MUST BE REFLECTED ON YOUR RESUME OR YOU WILL BE RATED NOT QUALIFIED.

Specialized experience required for this position is:

· Experience with administrative policies and procedures, providing management advisory services and facilitating customer support.

· Experience with office automation systems and information systems and technologies to perform a variety of administrative responsiblities.

· Demonstrated ability to work well under time pressures and deal with a variety of people in structured and unstructured situations.

Specifically, you will be evaluated on the following competency:

1. Knowledge of administrative rules, regulations, policies, concepts and principles.

2. Knowledge of various executive office and administrative responsibilities.

3. Communication Skills

Time-in-Grade Requirements: Federal employees must meet time-in-grade requirements for merit promotion consideration. Time-in-grade is the 52-week requirement Federal employees in competitive service, General Schedule (GS) positions at GS-5 and above must serve before they are eligible for promotion (advancement) to the next grade level.
