Nature of Work:

The Police HR Coordinator at the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the MDTA Police Human Resources Supports Services Division. This position will assist all Commanders of Police in personnel matters. This individual will also be responsible for directly managing the HR Administrative Assistant. Daily work will include maintaining records, preparing reports, and overseeing payroll timekeeping. The incumbent will frequently be interacting with HR personnel, Police personnel, and other business units. The current vacancy is located in Baltimore County, Maryland.




A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

For education obtained outside the U.S.

, you will be required to provide proof of the equivalent American education as determined by a foreign credential evaluation service.


Four years of experience in administrative or professional work. *Two years of this experience must include monitoring timecards AND managing a timekeeping system. One year of experience must include organizing events AND managing contracts.

Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience involving staff work related to the administration of rules, regulations, policies, procedures and processes, or overseeing or coordinating unit operations or functioning as a staff assistant on a year-for-year basis for the required education and experience.
