This is a centrally managed position in the Force Support career field

The primary purpose of this position is to research, develop, recommend, and implement policies, programs, and procedures in support of the DoD Executive and Senior Professional Pay and Performance System, conducts appropriate boards related to performance appraisals, quality reviews, and other forms of recognition; researches and provides policy interpretation and implementation in the areas of executive compensation, entitlements, recognition, and protocol; prepares and briefs necessary slides to Senior Leaders in support of the pay pool and Performance Review Board recommendations.

Responsibilities

1. Work in conjunction with the supervisor, contributes plans, develops, implements, and provides guidance on policies, programs, and procedures related to Executives Compensation and Performance Systems

2. Responsible for CSE Compensation Air Force-wide to include pay setting upon initial appointment and pay adjustments within statutory authority.

3. Serves as agency subject matter expert and performs the full range of program management duties for the management of actions and policies relating to executive performance management and compensation.

4. With guidance and direction provided by the supervisor, contributes and represents the agency?s Senior Executive Management Office with a wide-variety of internal and external officials.

The certification must be signed by, or by direction of, the adjutant, personnel officer, or commander of your unit or higher headquarters and must indicate when your terminal leave will begin (if applicable), your rank, dates of active duty service, the type of discharge and character of service (i.e. honorable). Further, under paragraph (h) of the rule, agencies are required to verify a qualifying separation from military service prior to appointment, through the DD-214 or other appropriate documentation.
