position in the Decennial Census Management Division (DCMD)

This is a competitive temporary promotion opportunity not to exceed 2 years or 9/26/2020, whichever comes first. This temporary promotion may be extended or terminated earlier. At the conclusion of the temporary promotion the employee will return to his/her position of record.

This position will be filled as a term appointment not to exceed 2 years or 9/26/2020, whichever comes first, with the possibility for extension at management's discretion.

A trial period may be required.

A supervisory probation period may be required.

This position is ELIGIBLE
for telework; additional criteria will be required (e.g., supervisory approval).

This is a NON-BARGAINING
unit position.

Relocation expenses will not be paid.

Work with matrixed managers, subject matter experts and/or IT experts and contractor support to monitor status for large projects.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
For the GG-15
, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14
in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: experience implementing program management, budget formulation and execution, managing schedules and costs for projects. Evaluating programs using quantitative and qualitative methods and recommending and or/ implementing solutions to improve performance. Conducting high level briefings, managing staff, developing strategic plans based on past and future practice. Certification in project, program, or portfolio management.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
