Asset Management & Large Projects (AMLP) Division is looking for a candidate with solid collaboration and diligent skills to join the Contract Management & Project Controls team. AMLP contains ten org units with $120M CIP and $16M in O&M budgets. Last year, AMLP executed 157 contracts, MOA's and Task Orders equivalent to over $27M. This team plays a key role in ensuring all AMLP projects achieve their goals and objectives, prioritize their capital and follow the project management framework. The Capital Project Coordinator will provide contract and project control support to all org units. This position reports to the Contract Management & Project Controls supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in development project work plans, work breakdown structures and schedules; and monitor procurement and contract activities primarily for the AMPMO Office. Assist in implementation of Project Controls Framework, review Change Order Request Forms and Project Status Reports Assist in development of Scopes of Work (SOW), lead contract negotiations and execution of contracts. Assist with QA of Agreements, Task Orders, Contracts, Change Orders and Amendments. Review/monitor deliverables, and oversee consultant performance, project status report and other project management activities.  Monitor and report WMBE payments for prime and sub-consultants for the division. Work with the program team to integrate project deliverables within the overall program plan. Identify mitigation strategies, taking early action to resolve issues related to procurement and contracts and address problems that may arise. Lead in development of Policies and Procedures. Provide back-up and support to the Contract Management & Project Controls supervisor.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
Requires a minimum of three years project or construction management or related experience and a bachelor's Degree in architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning or related field (or a combination of education and/or training and/or experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the class).
Certification/License
Current Washington State driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility
Desired Qualifications: 
Three (3) years of contract management experience. Experience in procurement and contracting including:
Experience in procurement and contracting for consultant services, goods and services and construction services Oversight experience in development of work breakdown structures and project and program schedules Proven experience in developing and monitoring project scope, schedules and budget Proficiency in using MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and MS Project Experience working closely with multiple internal City Light Departments and external City Departments Proven success in working with vendors to provide information and updates on contracting opportunities, contracting procedures and processes
Ability to effectively work in a multi-cultural workplace.
