Fort Leavenworth Auto Craft Center is a great do-it-yourself (DIY) facility. They offer seven bays, six for automobiles and one dedicated to motorcycles. Two bays are equipped with car lifts and a motorcycle lift is also available. They have a wide range of tools to offer such as ratchets, impact tools, tire mounter, balance and many more for the do-it-yourself mechanic. The facility houses the automotive detail shop as well. Fort Leavenworth's Auto Craft shop is recruiting a flex status laborer to help with automotive detailing and equipment rental and clean up.

Salary for this position is based on Federal Wage Scale requirements. Beginning pay will be $9.32 per hour with automatic time in grade step increases, with satisfactory performance, with a maximum pay of $10.87.

Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position

A one year probationary period may be required

Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check

Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty

Availability to work hours that include daytime, evenings, and weekend hours


Resumes will be reviewed to ensure the following qualifications have been met:

Experience working as an automotive detailer

Use of simple power equipment and hand tools

Experience in maintaining and performing routing maintenance on general equipment, such as cleaning lawn mowers, oiling parts on power equipment, etc.

The ability to lift and carry 40 pounds


This job does not have an education qualification requirement.
