IT Project Services is one of multiple competencies centers within the Technology Group Solution Delivery organization that is responsible for providing project management and business analysis services. The department staff manages a diverse portfolio of applications, systems, platforms and integrated COTS products ranging from mission critical for the System to tactical for specific business line units.
The IT Project Services Group is looking for a senior Project Manager to provide experienced oversight and discipline for a broad range of efforts across a portfolio that includes Cyber Security, Data and Statistics, and Supervision business areas. As a Senior Project Manager you will be leading large and complex software development and implementation projects in support of Bank objectives.
Develops and manages all facets of a project’s planning and implementation including, but not limited to; project schedule/milestones, documentation of scope and requirements, budget, resource requirements, project communications, and issue escalation;
Ensures that the project adheres to the defined Technology Group project workflow process and governance framework, as well as established Bank and System project standards, including creation and maintenance of required project artifacts;
Identifies key project risks and dependencies, and coordinates the inclusion and management of the dependencies in a project strategy and schedule;
Provides comprehensive project management oversight by liaising with business stakeholders, technology support, and senior management to ensure that a project achieves the defined business requirements, and that change requests are documented, approved and implemented according to the defined process;
Performs analysis of schedule and collaborates with stakeholder groups to ensure that appropriate resources (human, physical and financial) are allocated to the project to ensure successful and timely completion;
Conducts status reviews with the business area and technology teams. Identifies variances and initiates corrective action to stay on target;
Provides oversight to the project team, and management, in identifying and managing the risks associated with the project and developing and executing appropriate risk mitigation plans;','!*!Required Skills:
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Extensive experience managing and overseeing large scale technology projects with a broad array of stakeholders across a variety of business areas
Strong understanding of and experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Demonstrated success managing large projects utilizing both waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
Extensive project risk management planning and administration; strong knowledge of project management scheduling processes and tools
Experience in the development, tracking, and reporting of project management performance metrics
Experience managing, tracking, and reporting at the broader program level is a plus
Understanding of technology trends and developments in the areas of Cyber Security practices and protocols, and cyber security related frameworks and standards such as NIST is a plus
Experience delivering solutions in the domains of asset management, risk identification, identity and access management, and related cyber security functions is a plus
Experience in vendor management processes and contract processes is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications (Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation/influence skills
Work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment with strong project leadership
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to clearly communicate technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical team members at all levels of the organization
Bachelor’s degree in business or IT related field or at least 10 years of work experience in project management using waterfall and Agile (i.e. SCRUM) methodologies
Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification is highly desired
International Information System Security Certification(s) are highly desired (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP))
