\t\t\tThis is a supportive services assignment with the NE Child and Adult Abuse and Neglect Hotline. Duties will include entry of and processing reports of abuse and neglect of children and vulnerable adults and other confidential information that come in via fax, email, efax, US mail, website and internal alert system. Data search and handling of records from NFocus, DMV, Central Registry, CPS, APS, Probation and Criminal Background Checks. Ability to determine when sensitive information or reports require an immediate response by hotline CFS Specialist staff to ensure safety of children and families. In addition, this support role requires paraprofessional\/ clerical duties, preparing and sending letters, data entry and inquiry, assisting Child and Family Service Specialist staff with research, records and other data system searches, scanning documents and photos, maintaining Excel spreadsheets, processing incoming and outgoing unit mail, basic maintenance of office equipment (replacing toner, paper, etc.) and providing coverage answering voice mail and distributing messages to hotline staff. This position will require the use of computers, ACD phones, fax, copier and other general office equipment. Additionally, need to have good communication and good working relationships with others by supporting co-workers, supervisors and internal staff. \r

\t\t\tQUALIFICATIONS \/ REQUIREMENTS:\r

\t\t\t\r
\t\t\tREQUIREMENTS: Coursework\/training in administrative\/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; research; or areas related to the programs and functions of the employing agency. OR Experience in performing administrative\/office\/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment.\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\tPREFERRED: Extensive knowledge of: Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word and Excel, Adobe- PDF Converter, Document Imaging, NFocus and at least one year experience in general office setting \r

\t\t\tKnowledge of: the program-administrative work assigned to the position; sources of information pertinent to the assigned work; the principles and practices of record keeping. Ability to: formulate and recommend alternative courses of action to meet agency and operational goals and objectives; communicate in person and by telephone, computer, email, or correspondence to exchange information and ideas; summarize technical data and results of research and monitoring activities into reports; understand and apply instructions and program-administrative policies and directives; implement decisions made and take actions selected by others to achieve work objectives, performance goals, and priorities; learn the organizational structure, mission, and activities of the employing agency; learn agency policies and procedures pertinent to the work assigned. \r
