Summary

This position is responsible for the coordination of a variety of administrative/business functions within the Training Center Petaluma MWR program. The incumbent serves as the MWR Business and Administrative Officer and will direct management on the practical and technical aspects of office administrations, financial management (accounting, auditing, reporting, and analysis), budgeting, marketing, purchasing, supply management, personnel administration, and data processing. This position will have overall facility and program management responsibility of the MWR Administrative Section (human resources and accounting).

This position will have overall facility and program management responsibility of the MWR Administrative Section (human resources and accounting).

Produces statistical reports, analyses and exhibits for internal use by other management staff.

Assumes direct responsibility for personnel administration functions.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Highly qualified candidates must possess a combination of experience and education. Documented experience must have been equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower grade/level and include 5 - 7 years senior level experience in business management to include accounting, operations, human resources, and sales & marketing. Applicants that possess a bachelor's degree with a major in a business discipline (i.e. accounting, financial management) are highly desired. Applicants must have demonstrated ability to perform the prescribed duties above using theories, principles, practices and techniques of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) along with documented QuickBooks or similar accounting software experience at a practical and management level. Desired, but not a required qualification; knowledge of the US government appropriated and non-appropriated funding streams and the differences in how they may be used in support of MWR programs.
