This position is located in the Bureau of the Fiscal Service (FS), AC Debt Management Services, Collections Services Division, Unified Call Center located in either Birmingham, AL or Austin, TX. The mission of the call center is to assist in the government-wide debt collection to reduce the amount of delinquent debt owed to the government through efficient processes and quality customer service. The Unified Call Center is a fast-paced, customer centric, national call center handling inbound and outbound Cross Servicing and Treasury Offset Program (TOP) calls for more than 80 Federal Agencies and 600 programs. This position can be filled in either Birmingham, AL or Austin, TX. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, you will: * Supervise and direct the day-to-day activities at the Unified Call Center. * Direct an administrative, technical, or clerical unit that supports FS and significantly affects a major program segment activity. * Perform a range of supervisory responsibilities including: planning and assigning work, doing performance evaluations, advising employees, interviewing job candidates, recommending personnel actions, preparing budget estimates, identifying training needs, improving productivity of the work unit, and writing performance standards. * Collaborate with superiors and other members of the organization in regular and special staff meetings for the purpose of devising new internal procedures, regulating workflow and formulating plans for new or extended programs. Furnish authoritative advice regarding procedures and methods within the Section. Specialized experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12level, or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is experience in an incoming and outgoing call center or debt collection environment performing leadership duties including: * Acting on behalf of management by responding to complex, highly technical, elevated calls and providing procedural and technical responses; AND * Acting as a team lead and providing guidance and direction to a call center or debt collection staff; AND * Maintaining and distributing metrics for a team; AND * Monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of work in conformance with supervisors instructions. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. EducationSDL2017
