--Developing and maintaining policies and principles to guide technology decisions including developing and maintain reference architecture of enterprise Information Management and Technology (IMT).
--Ensuring technical integration of IMT is achieved across Reclamation by providing IMT architectural standards to support a consistent technical infrastructure for current and target architectures, overseeing the creation and maintenance of technical infrastructure roadmaps, reference architecture models, and standards.
--Provides leadership in the development overall IMT strategy, leading IMT business process improvement and reengineering by building and maintaining long-term strategic IMT architecture roadmap.
--Promotes and educates customers and stakeholders on the use and value of IMT Enterprise Architecture by developing, maintaining, and acting on a communication strategy and plan for EA outreach.

All applicants must possess one year of specialized experience. To meet specialized experience, your resume must describe experience that demonstrates the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined below:
GS-14: One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal Government.
Specialized experience includes experience in maintaining an Enterprise Architecture Repository, performing Business Process Re-engineering for development of large Information Management and Technology (IMT) systems, working with Technical Reference Models and Reference Architecture of enterprise IMT.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
Category rating and selection procedures will be used for evaluating this position. If you meet the basic qualification requirements, your on-line responses to the vacancy assessment questionnaire will be used to determine the quality and extent of your experience, education, training, etc., for placement in one of the following categories: 1) Best Qualified, 2) Well Qualified and 3) Qualified. - Knowledge of the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF) and the Consolidated Reference Model in order to develop strategic approaches to integrate business and technology management within the Bureau and to represent the Bureau on Department-wide EA efforts and initiatives such as development of common infrastructure requirements and shared service catalogs.
- Skill in applying: methods and approaches for sharing information through the use of IMT assets; project management concepts, methods, and practices; enterprise architecture concepts and principles; and multiple IMT disciplines sufficient to develop major components of the enterprise architecture plan including strategic drivers, current and target architectures, the sequencing plan, architectural segments and reference models, and standards.
- IMT strategy development in order to perform technical assignments related to information technology, enterprise architecture, and business process reengineering to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in order to present complex technical information to individuals (Bureau and Departmental management, staff, contractors, etc.), to facilitate constructive discussion and to obtain consensus or agreement.
