Summary

The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is worldwide. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) Preference eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

Physical Requirement: Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds due to the following duties:

1. Moving and setting up athletic/sports equipment and carts.

2. Moving equipment and setting up community runs.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, schedule and monitor Intramural sports program to include flag football, Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, Basketball, volleyball.

Responsible for submitting contracts for officials and overseeing officials are scheduled for programs.

Coordinate/conduct 5K runs for community.

Oversee field maintenance/courts/facilities for Sports programs.

Offer special events (non-Intramural) throughout season such as racquetball tournaments, basketball tournament (3 on 3).

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in planning, supervising, administering or carrying out a sports program that included a variety of individual and team sports and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities and teaching the techniques of various sports.

This experience may have been gained managing or administering a sports program in a community, industrial activity, or secondary school or college; planning, teaching or evaluating a physical education curriculum for secondary or higher academic levels; or managing, umpiring, or officiating at amateur or professional athletic events, competitions, or games. Required experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level.

Highly Preferred:

1. Possess knowledge of sports governing body/game rules.

2. Possess work experience planning and executing intramurals, sports leagues and tournaments.

3. Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Sports, Recreation, or Physical Fitness.
