This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SPECIALIST, Position Description Number D1947000and is part of the AZ 161st Air Refueling Wing, Air National Guard.

NOTE: This position is subject to rotating or night shift work.

Individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered.

Responsibilities

SUPERVISORY SUPPLY SPECIALIST, GS-2005-10, this position is located in the Air National Guard, Mission Support Group, Logistics Readiness Squadron (LRS), Materiel Management Flight at the 161st Air Refueling Wing in Phoenix, AZ. The primary purpose is to direct the performance of the Asset Management Section, Maintenance Support Section, and Customer Support Section to include the management, direction and supervision of assigned employees.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: National Guard Membership is required.

Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.

May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:

Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. If you are not sure you are eligible for military membership, please contact a National Guard recruiter prior to applying for this position.

Military Grades: E-7/MSgt - E-8/SMSgt

Compatible Military Assignments: Must possess AFSC: 2S071 or 2S091

Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 30 months experience, education, or training in managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
