Providing assessments as appropriate in the outpatient setting; conducting administrative and academic components of the specialty.
Performing procedures using microscopes in the exam rooms, digital Fiberoptic laryngoscopes and sinus scopes, and full audiology services with VNG and rotation testing, etc.
Collaborating with providers in other medical and surgical services including appropriate referrals.
Performing appropriate evaluations of patients.
Providing a full range of therapeutic interventions for inpatients on the medical unit; maintaining clinical privileges to practice including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management.
Participating in team meetings and treatment planning conferences, and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members in a manner that enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care.
Orders diagnostic tests and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to make appropriate treatment decisions.
Utilizing electronic medical records to accurately document treatment in a timely manner.
Ensuring that the practice of medicine is consistent with Joint Commission, CARF, and VA policies and procedures.
Ensuring that the practice of medicine is consistent with clinical practice, ENT guidelines, VISN standards, national statutes and regulations, medical record documentation, mandatory continuing education, and HIPPA policies.
Serving on hospital committees and peer review programs as needed.
United States Citizenship:

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy. NOTE: salary is prorated for Part Time Status
Physicians are covered under the Tort Claims Protection Act.
