Collaborate with specialists in other areas on multidisciplinary problems.

Conduct therapy; monitor, approve, and documental all treatment planning.

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Therefore, we encourage you to be clear and specific when describing your experience.

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of clinical psychologist experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: independently carrying out initial evaluations, crisis intervention, psychosocial evaluations, psychological testing, educational advocacy, individual, family and group psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and family members; providing services and consultations with a multidisciplinary medical model team.

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS: This position has selective placement factors that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. Failure to document the selective placement factors in your resume or application documents will result in an ineligible rating. The selective placement factors are:

1) Possession of Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification;

2) Possession of a permanent, full and unrestricted clinical psychologist license issued by a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

3) Completion of 1-year American Psychological Association (APA) accredited clinical internship; OR completion of 1-year clinical internship NOT American Psychological Association (APA) accredited, but I have completed an APA-accredited postdoctoral residency or fellowship or have attained board certification by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP); OR previous employment as a Clinical Psychologist commissioned/employed in the Navy prior to March 27, 2015 and has completed 1-year clinical internship training program NOT American Psychological Association (APA) accredited.
