The Department of Health Services (DHS) is looking for a talented individual to fill a Physician position at Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Winnebago, WI.
This position is a 90% FTE and will work approximately 72 hours per pay period.
WMHI is a psychiatric hospital providing quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults. The facility has a beautiful campus located on Lake Winnebago with adjacent walking paths by the lake for employees to use during break periods. Position Summary :
The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and planning for disposition of assigned patients within the facility. They will coordinate the work of the treatment team assigned to the unit and will coordinate consultation with community agencies.

All applicants will be required to allow the Department of Health Services to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by WMHI or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
Minimally qualified candidates will have:
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin.
Must board certified or board eligible in General Medicine
Must have clinical experience in Psychiatry working with patients with mental illness.
In addition, well-qualified candidates will have:
Experience diagnosing, treating and planning for disposition of patients.
Knowledge of psychiatric treatment including psychotropic medicine.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
